Rockingham Insurance Names Fortin as Head of Information Services

HARRISONBURG, Va. – July 6, 2020 – Rockingham Insurance recently named Larry Fortin as Chief Information Officer/Chief Information Security Officer. Fortin will lead the company’s strategic goals in the Information Services department, Policy Administration implementation, and other core system replacements, predictive analytics, and digital engagement. President & CEO, Robert Lyon reports, “his experience in both technology and the insurance industry will be an asset attaining our growth initiatives.” 

Before joining Rockingham Insurance, Larry’s professional experience includes the CIO and CISO roles with Millers Mutual Group in Harrisburg, PA. Previously, he was the VP – Insurance Practice for a national technology consulting firm in Boston.

Larry earned the IT Project Management certification from George Washington University and Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT). He currently serves on the advisory board for the Insurance and Technology Association (ITApro.org). The ITA serves the insurance technology community as a resource and is dedicated to serving this specialized sector. Publications and educational programs created by the ITA are geared to professionals interested in or charged with evaluating, implementing, and marketing insurance-specific technology systems or services.
