Rockingham has grown and evolved over the years and it became apparent to us that our brand needed to evolve as well to reflect who we are today, what we value and the communities we serve.
A common issue we faced in the past was confusion about what Rockingham Group did. In today’s market of increased competition, we felt it was important to make it clear to our markets that we are an insurance provider. Changing our name from Rockingham Group to Rockingham Insurance eliminates the need for a tagline that tells what we do and allows us to create one that better reflects who we are. Additionally, Rockingham Insurance is short enough to be placed on branded materials and remain legible, while clearly telling our audience that we are an insurance company.
The logo mark embodies the Blue Ridge mountains and sunshine that is so characteristic of our area. The logo is intentionally in the shape of a map pinpoint, reinforcing our messaging of being here for our community.
Our brand is based on the notion of here – a place unlike any other that we are proud to call home. It also conveys where we are for our customers – here when they need us. The brand messages that support this concept are:

Our brand will be launched on Monday, February 12th. Our website will go live on this date, and our TV and radio spots will begin to air. Signage will gradually be converted over to the new brand beginning in mid-February.
We will be providing new templates for all brand materials over the first few weeks of February. Many of these materials will also be available on the print portal once it is live.
We highly recommend replacing all collateral that contains the old logo with items in the new brand. New items will be available on the apparel portal.
