Marketing Coordinator

The Marketing Coordinator supports the execution of marketing strategies and initiatives in areas of company advertising, corporate communications, producer support, public website content, community engagement, and product appearance. Processes all marketing invoices.

 

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage data entry into ImageRight and payment of all department invoices, maintain expense reporting
  • Complete clerical/administrative tasks associated with the position
  • Oversee the company co-op advertising program; includes creative support, managing approval processes and expense tracking to include monthly reporting for agents
  • Coordinate agent events including agent outings and awards banquet
  • Manage corporate charitable donation program- coordinating logo inclusion, agent and home office support of community engagement
  • Coordinate community engagement programs; Fire Safety Art contests in middle school/high schools, 4H & FFA Exhibitor Fair support, and research future additional programs
  • Create and/or supply comprehensive marketing and sales support material to include brochures, direct mail, rating reference materials, product descriptions, promotional items, and blog articles
  • Maintain/develop content for the agent extranet, agent communications, specialized presentations/communications, and consumer materials including Rockingham merchandise program
  • Manage seasonal email newsletter program for agents and home office client lists; includes content creation, detail of customization and delivery/open reports
  • Work with agents and brand manager on basic ad design and fulfillment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrates exceptional skills in the areas of accuracy and attention to detail including strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously and effectively.
  • Exhibits strong and effective verbal and written communication skills that are professional and diplomatic including ability to competently spell, write, compose, and proofread copy; deals effectively with sensitive or private information; strong listener with ability to discern problems and seek solutions.
  • Ability to plan, execute, and manage projects with little or no supervision in a demanding, fast-paced team environment
  • Has creative ability to develop marketing materials
  • Ability to communicate professionally with Rockingham Agents
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of the daily operations of the Marketing Department and exclusive and independent agency office operations
  • Displays personal computer literacy and effectively utilizes all relevant company automation. Design and graphic creativity are required including proficiencies with all Microsoft Office products, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign software, social media, demographics, and online sales.
  • Desire to improve processes, research additional tools to increase productivity, and implement revised methods of providing marketing support
  • Creativity to propose new community outreach programs, sales support, and business objectives
  • Ability to work independently on events and with agents to include meetings including day and overnight travel when necessary

 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • · Relevant experience with graphic design software
  • · High school diploma required; undergraduate degree in business or marketing preferred
  • · Must be able to show portfolio of past work
