To respond to policyholder changing needs during the pandemic, Rockingham Insurance worked to maintain excellent customer service our policyholders expect. We reduced auto rates for renewals, honored our claims commitments, and billing and policy service. While COVID-19 is still impacting the communities we serve, our local agents are here with the insurance expertise you can depend on.

Rockingham Insurance Gives Back
To help drivers during COVID-19, we’re lowering auto rates. You’ll see the savings on your auto policy renewal without having to do anything.

For over 150 years, Rockingham Insurance has been protecting the things that matter most. During the COVID-19 outbreak, we’re here working hard to honor that commitment with claims, customer service, and local agent expertise.

Reduced Auto Rates

With shelter-in-place orders in effect in our communities, there are fewer drivers on the road and a reduced number of accidents. Beginning 7/1/20, renewing auto policyholders will see reduced rates of 4% for the next full policy term. 

Payment Relief

If an income interruption is affecting your ability to pay an insurance payment, contact our Customer Experience Team at (800) 434-7736. We are working with policyholders on a case-by-case basis.

Protecting Delivery Drivers

We understand your job duties may have changed as restaurants are transitioning to delivery service. We’re here protecting personal auto policyholders performing delivery service of products or food while the COVID-19 business shutdown is in place. This temporary consideration does not cover drivers employed by the on-demand app platforms.

Rockingham Insurance has prepared for the unexpected for over 150 years. Today, we are experiencing unprecedented times in our communities as the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is continuously evolving.

I find strength in our employees’ and agents’ dedication. Together, we are committed to delivering the dependable insurance coverage you expect.

We’ve taken preemptive protection steps for the well-being and safety of our employees and policyholders. Our employees are working remotely. The Harrisonburg home office is not open for walk-in service. All essential services remain available via phone, online, or email.

Individual agent offices may also be closed for in-person visits. Plans are in place to keep your insurance coverage and policy service uninterrupted.
