HARRISONBURG, Va. – June 11, 2020 – Rockingham Insurance recently welcomed Karl Hancock as VP- Commercial and Specialty Claims. In the new role, Hancock will focus on process management, litigation, and SIU investigations. President & CEO, Robert Lyon explained, “he brings extensive industry experience in both personal and commercial lines strategy to the new role.”
Karl joins Rockingham Insurance, after recently serving as Director of Claims with Harford Mutual Insurance Company, where he operationalized their Complex Claim Unit specializing in complex and litigated claims. His prior experience also includes Millers Mutual Group, where he served as Vice President-Claims and Corporate Secretary.
Karl earned a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science from The Pennsylvania State University. He holds the Associate in Claims (AIC) designation and a multi-line adjuster license in Delaware, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. Karl continues to be an active member of the Loss Executives Association and is a frequent participator in case studies & panel discussions at industry functions. He also has served as the PAMIC (Pennsylvania Association of Mutual Insurance Companies) Claims Committee Chair and President of the Central Pennsylvania Claims Manager’s Council.
