At Rockingham Insurance, we believe that serving our community goes beyond providing excellent insurance coverage. We understand the profound impact that volunteerism and charitable efforts can have on individuals and families facing challenges. That is why we regularly partner with the United Way of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County (UWHR), an incredible nonprofit that seeks to improve lives through strategically convening community partners to create measurable social change.
Throughout the year, Rockingham Insurance and our employees work together with UWHR on a wide range of activities, including:
- Sponsoring Events,
- Serving on UWHR’s Board of Directors, on which there has been a member of Rockingham Insurance for the last 20 years,
- Participating in UWHR’s annual “Stuff the Bus” event during Tax-Free Weekend in August, where we seek out donations of school supplies to help kids start the school year off right,
- And joining in on the annual United Way’s Day of Action, where our employees engage in a variety of volunteer activities and lend their skills, labor, and knowledge to local nonprofit organizations to enhance their impact.
Earlier this month, we participated in the 2023 Day of Action, which was a blast! Check out our team having a great time while giving back:
