November was an incredible month for fire safety awareness!
We were thrilled to co-sponsor the Fire Safety Art Contest for the 20th year in Roanoke and the 17th year in Harrisonburg. Each year, we invite elementary and middle school students to unleash their creativity by tackling vital fire safety themes, and this year’s challenge was no exception: “Smoke Alarms: Make Them Work for You!”
Harrisonburg achieved an exciting milestone this year with over 250 submissions—a record-breaking number that left us in awe of the talent in our community. From bold colors to thoughtful messages, every piece of artwork demonstrated a deep understanding of the theme, making it an incredibly tough decision to pick the winners.
To honor their outstanding efforts, the Harrisonburg Fire Department and Roanoke Fire-EMS hosted inspiring awards banquets, complete with delicious meals and spectacular prizes for the talented winners.
And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for…
